I am currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa. I mostly write on issues in applied and social epistemology, philosophy of cognitive science, and social metaphysics. I am especially interested in the capacity of recent work on extended cognition and extended mental states to serve as a basis for a new theory of group doxastic and epistemic states. Outside of this main focus, I am interested in applying insights from epistemological to areas of contemporary concern, including conspiracy theories, deepfakes, and disinformation. More information about my research, including links to publications and works in progress, can be found on the research page.
I teach a wide range of courses in philosophy. For more on what I’m currently teaching, see the teaching page.
